The AP College Board Five-Year Score Summary for 2025 highlights the remarkable dedication of our students and educators. Over the past five years, John Jay High School has demonstrated consistent growth in both AP participation and performance. In 2025, an impressive 91% of AP students earned a score of 3 or higher, reflecting our strong instructional support and a schoolwide commitment to academic excellence. We are proud of the collaborative efforts that continue to raise the bar each year.

John Jay Club Spotlight 

We are driven by our unwavering commitment to provide all students with inclusive and engaging opportunities through clubs and activities that build confidence, develop leadership and collaboration skills, encourage the pursuit of passions, and foster personal growth as responsible and active members of the community.

 

 

In this section, we will be featuring three clubs each month to celebrate their achievements, raise awareness, and boost participation. The contributions of these clubs help build school spirit and show our community the incredible things happening at John Jay. Thank you for your dedication and support!

 

2025 Mid-Hudson Regional Science Olympiad

 

Science Olympiad 

Students compete in 23 events pertaining to various fields of science, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. In fact, over 7,800 middle school and high school teams from all 50 U.S. states compete each year. 

What do we do?

Each season, pairs of students compete in 23 STEM events where they build devices for on-site testing, study for core knowledge challenges, and prepare for rigorous hands-on lab experiments.

 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

FBLA is a national organization that gives high school students who are studying Business opportunities to: 

  • practice real life business skills
  • learn from adults working in business
  • coordinate and participate in community service 
  • go to competitions at the state and national level
  • make friends!

Membership: is open to any student who is taking a course offered by the Business Department in the current year or any student who was a member in a prior year.
