Health

A word cloud illustrating various aspects of mental health, including awareness, wellness, and treatment.   In the Wappingers Central School District, we believe that our Health Education program plays a critical role in preventing health problems. We strive to improve the quality of life and total well-being of our students through teaching life skills and overall healthy living principles. Our primary focus is to motivate all students to take an active role in maintaining and improving their mental-emotional, family-social and physical health in everyday life. As members of our community, we invite you to utilize these resources at your convenience.

Dutchess County Health Testing

It is very important to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) during your sexually active years, especially if you have multiple partners, because many people have a STD and don't even know it. Therefore, it is best to be tested at regular intervals even if you do not display symptoms, as some STDs are cyclical in nature. It is very important to seek out the proper medical treatment. Many STD clinics can offer treatment or at least provide advice on where to go for it.
